Watertown Boys & Girls Club Launches New Website Promoting Programs, Activities, Camps And More
In the mid-late 1960’s, a dedicated group of men and women provided a solid foundation for the Watertown Boys & Girls Club’s inception. Through strong leadership, vision, fundraising and Watertown’s support, the dream became a reality in September 1972. The organization’s vision and leadership continued as they were one of the first Clubs in the country to include “Girls” in their name. The organization changed its name to Watertown Boys & Girls Club in January of 1980.
Today, the Club serves approximately 1,000 youth members throughout the year, and also provides activities and services to an additional 1,200 kids through cooperative programs with the Watertown Recreation Department, the Watertown Family Network, and other similar organizations.
Sixjon Web Services provided the Club with a new website that makes it easy to get word out regarding current programs, activities, camps, etc. A main focus was organizing each program and the various documents that are required to attend. The site will now serve as an easy communication tool and go-to for the parents of Watertown and surrounding communities youth.
Sixjon built the site using the powerful CraftCMS content management system allowing the Club to easily and intuitively update the site on their own.
